At Vaqueros, our commitment to world-class barbecue runs deep, fueled by a rich legacy in the business. Owner and pitmaster Arnulfo 'Trey' Sánchez has been immersed in the world of Bar-B-Q since his childhood. His father, Arnold Sánchez, began winning Bar-B-Q and Chili cook-offs in 1979, setting the stage for a family tradition. In 1989, Arnold's Texas Bar-B-Q opened its doors in East Dallas at 601 N. Haskell Ave., becoming a local icon. Trey, alongside lifelong friend and fellow pitmaster Don Glasco, co-managed the restaurant until 1999 when Arnold ventured into another aspect of his business – Silverado Ranch, a Western Special Event and Production company. With Bar-B-Q running in his veins, an artistic background, and a childhood immersed in the special event and production industry, Trey brings a unique style to his Classic Texas Bar-B-Q. For over 35 years, he has crafted a truly distinctive Texas Bar-B-Q experience for all our customers.
